Zaïa Lebtahi is a talented singer and composer as well as an actress, writer-director and producer from Paris, France who lives in Los Angeles. Zaïa is a self-taught singer who later attended the Jazz Academy of Paris (ARPEJ), became a professional singer and started to write her own music.
She has been singing for 25 years all over Paris and Los Angeles.
Zaïa brings us into a musical journey in an eclectic universe ranging from Alternative to Rock, passing through Jazz and Pop.
She wrote her first song "I Love You So" in 2012 which then became the first title in her very out-of-the-box and original album, Respect.
Zaïa Lebtahi has produced this first original album with some of the best American renowned musicians such as Novi Novog (Prince, Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Tom Waits...), Lee Curreri (Fame), Larry Treadwell (Rolling Stones, Angie Bowie, Cindy Lauper...), Steve Reid (Supertramp, Bernard Lavilliers, Angelique Kidjo), John Cartwright (Harry Belafonte), Pascal Guyon, Anthony Carafone, Dave Stone, Debra Dobkin and Marc Bosserman.
The artist also produced a Jazz album titled Pardon My French! in which she offers a delicious mix of American and French Jazz standards covers.
Her universe of multiple colors is both sweet and strong. In fact, the voice of Zaïa Lebtahi can be defined by her strong emotion.
